I just completed my first winter project to retrofit Wedekind Sleeves
to my DG-101G ELAN. These will be much easier to use than either the
originally suggested safety pin or even the Uerling sleeves. Very
robust and secure. I purchased the sleeves from McLean Aviation in the
UK (DG and LS dealer). Nice people.

For the airlerons fittings, the diagrams supplied from DG and McLean
suffice. ftp://dgflugzeugbau.de/tn/dg-100/TN301-old/TN%20301-16.pdf.
I also found some pictures of a Nimbus Wedekind installation at
http://www.jimphoenix.com/jimphoenix2/pages/Nimbus/Wedekind/subWedekind.html
which helped on the ailerons.

However for the airbrake fittings, there are only a few very poor
"hints" which didn't offer much help. After spending 4 sweaty hours
on the first airbrake install (and 30 minutes on the second of course)
I found some more detailed information from Solaire Canada written by
Juergen Nick (whereabouts unknown) which are much more complete. They
were FAXed to me but I cannot find them on the web.

I took pictures of the airbrake installation and put them into a
PowerPoint presentation with my own hints. If anyone would like to see
them, please drop me a line.
